WEEK 3

This week was the third week of Fashion Show Production class. Today’s class was kind of crazy. I presented four times today in class. The first thing I had to present was my blog. The second thing I had to present was my lesson for lesson two. That was pretty easy. My Thrid thing I had to present was my idea for the modeling and the model call. My fourth and final presentation was where I screwed up on. I typically do okay with public speaking, but if it is someone I don’t know as well I start speaking fast because I’m nervous. So I blew it by talking fast but I’ll try to not be so nervous next time. Having the client there made it easier to create a vision. Since they were here it made it so much easier.

WEEK 2

This week was the second week of Fashion Show Production class. Since Frenchye was out of town visiting her sons college, we had Mrs. Miracle as are substitute. We started class by Mrs. Miracle asking us what we are excited to do in Fashion Show Production. I said that I am excited that all of us as a group get to put on a fashion show. Then we presented our blogs on Trends and Fashion News. I was the black sheep of the group, everyone did trends this week and I did fashion news. I talked about how H&M opened up its flag store on Fifth avenue with a launch party. Jeff Koons was there because him and H&M collaborated together to create a collection. You can read more of it in my other blog. After that Keri presented her notes on chapter one. I am so happy and grateful that she took my chapter one, because with Regatta at work there would have been no way. I work at a yacht club were Regatta is the biggest celebration of the year at my work. After that Crystal presented her résumé to the class for the stylist position. Finally we presented are designer spotlight power point. For mine I did mine on Calvin Klein.

WEEK 1

This week is when I first started Fashion Show Production class. We first started off by saying who we are and what we want to do with are degree. Then we did normal first day back rituals, like go over the syllabus and go over final projects. When we found out that we were goanna produce a fashion show I was immediate excited to finally produce a fashion show. I have always been the model that goes out on stage and shows the garment, now I get to go behind the scenes and make the magic happen. We each have different jobs and tittles that go with it. I got talent which is perfect for me because I am model and I know what to look for. To pick jobs/ tittles took about 40 minutes. People wanted certain ones and it seemed like they were goanna do what it took to get that job but finally after 40 minutes the stubbornness went away and we had our job tittles. After that it took another 40 minutes just to pick a name. That day I learned our group likes to think through before we make a final decision.
